VOLUME LOSS
As we age, we are losing volume in the face as fat pads change shape and shrink, facial bone decreases, and skin elasticity changes with declining levels of collagen and elastin. The face can start to appear heavy and tired, add to the effects of gravity, and the once structural tissue support has decreased resulting in sagging and volume loss.
WRINKLE REDUCTION
Fine lines and wrinkles appear and with repetitive muscle use, can make a once fine line or crease, now a deep line or fold.
SKIN LOSING HYDRATION, COLLAGEN AND ELASTIN
The skin can appear to lose its bounce and elasticity as hyaluronic levels decline and collagen and elastin slows. Pigmentation and enlarged pores appear and the skin may appear dull, dry and lacking tone.
CONSULTATION AND FACIAL ASSESSMENT
The first step in achieving a full facial rejuvenation is always a consultation and facial assessment where we discuss the ageing process, review your medical history, listen to your aesthetic and skin goals, and discuss the relevant treatments that will help to achieve these goals. This allows us to tailor a treatment plan specific to you and your facial anatomy.
During this appointment we discuss what the treatments involves, how long it will take, how many treatments you would need, any associated risks, and the costs. It is your opportunity to ask all your questions so you feel prepared, informed, educated and know exactly what to expect. There is no obligation to have a treatment but this initial face to face appointment is important so we can understand your goals, and for you to meet with your cosmetic registered nurse. You will have all the information needed to make an informed decision and decide if the treatment is the right one for you.

COMBINING TREATMENTS TO MAXIMISE OUTCOMES
There may be a combination of treatments needed and discussed, during the consultation, to achieve your goals. These vary from individual to individual so there is never a one size fits all approach to any treatment. We understand the unique differences among individuals so take the time in your initial consultation to explain everything in detail and personalise every treatment.
Some volumising and wrinkle reduction treatments may be achieved in the one appointment, but frequently skin treatments require multiple treatments to achieve an improvement in skin quality. These are all discussed in detail during the consultation process.
REPLACING LOST VOLUME/ SCULPTING
Replacing lost volume, due to the ageing process, can restore balance, facial proportions and harmony back to the face. This can be achieved by volumising specific areas on the face and so many areas can be treated.
For example, volumising or plumping the cheeks to create more defined cheek bones, replacing lost volume under the eyes, improving the tear trough hollows, and volumising around the eyes, or sculpting the chin and jawline to create definition that has become less prominent.
The face loses volume in the fat pads and bone at different ages and stages so strategically volumising areas will instantly rejuvenate the face. More than one area is frequently treated at the same time, but can also be spaced out according to special events you may have in your upcoming calendar, or if you just prefer to space out each individual treatment. Replacing lost volume and how the treatments works will be discussed in detail during the consultation.
REDUCING THE APPEARANCE OF LINES & WRINKLES
Softening, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is also a treatment used in full facial rejuvenation. Lines may be appearing on the forehead, frown, around the eyes, around the mouth, on the neck, the corners of the mouth, neck lines and more. These lines can become deeper with repetitive use so softening these lines will prevent them from becoming deeper. Reducing the appearance of wrinkles and how this treatment works will be discussed in detail during the consultation.
SKIN TREATMENTS AND COLLAGEN/ ELASTIN BOOSTING
As we age our skin loses its bounce due to a reduction in collagen and elastin. Treatments that improve the quality and elasticity of the skin can also rejuvenate the face. These also work in harmony with other treatments to replace lost volume and treatments to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

TYPES OF SKIN TREATMENTS
Improving skin health and skin quality is an important part of the treatment journey to achieve a full facial rejuvenation. These treatments are all available in clinic and will be discussed during the consultation, with further information available on our website.
Sometimes the suggested skin treatment can change according to your skin’s goals at the time. Some patients may experience a break out or have a skin condition they are wanting treated and some might need extra hydration at the time. We will always work with you and what your skin is needing at the time and suggest alternative treatments to achieve this.
SKIN TREATMENTS AVAILABLE IN CLINIC
• PRP- Platelet Rich Plasma for skin. A scientifically proven medical treatment that uses your own platelets from your own blood to target fine lines, wrinkles and overall skin rejuvenation and skin quality.
• The Pink Treatment skin booster. This promotes skin rejuvenation from the inside out. Contains 56 proven active skin ingredients to improve skin tone, accelerate skin repair, rejuvenate, restore hydration levels and brighten the skin. Stimulates collagen production, and improves skin tone and texture. Eye contour, full face, neck and decolletage can be treated.
• Skin boosters- containing hyaluronic acid, vitamins and minerals that are injected into the superficial layer of the skin to improve skin quality, restore hydration levels, reduce dark circles and pigmentation (e.g. dark circles under the eyes).
• Skin needling- a natural treatment that uses a vibrating pen with fine needles to glide over the skins surface, to activate the body’s natural healing response and boost own collagen and elastin levels.
• Chemical peels- professional peels that are customised to reduce pigmentation, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, restore hydration levels, reduce pigmentation and reduce pore size, illuminate and improve skins overall texture and tone.
• Skin needling plus chemical peels in combination to further boost skin results. Skin needling is performed first and then while the micro channels are open a mild chemical peel is applied to the skin. The skin effects can be felt and seen immediately.
• Skin needling plus Crystal Care skin rejuvenation booster and peptide serum. These can be used in combination with any treatment to reduce redness and for overall skin rejuvenation or to reduce blemishes.
• 50+ sunscreen – Airyday body and Airyday face sunscreens available in clinic. Award winning, Australian made, and contain vitamins C, E, F, vegan collagen, shea butter and hyaluronic acid. They are light, non-greasy and don’t leave a white cast on the face. They are hydrating and don’t feel like a sunscreen at all. Lisa has been a clinical trainer teaching advanced techniques to doctors and nurses for 10 years. She continues to train and educate other health care practitioners for Teoxane.
