PRE & POST TREATMENT CARE
PREPARING FOR YOUR COSMETIC INJECTABLES TREATMENTS
To get the best out of your treatment please follow these pre and also post care instructions.
-
Avoid any aspirin, nurofen, fish oil, gingko, ginseng tablets or anti-inflammatory tablets for 10 days before your treatment. This helps to minimise the risk of a bruise.
-
If you do get cold sores and are having dermal fillers taking a prophylactic anti- viral tablet the day before, the day of, and the day after a treatment can help reduce your risk of getting a cold sore. These can be purchased from a pharmacy. Breaking the skin surface with a needle can cause you to get a cold sore if you already have the cold sore virus in your body.
-
Anti-wrinkle results take 10-14 days for the full effect to be seen, so plan ahead if you are wanting to look fresh for a special event.
-
Give yourself a 2-week window with dermal fillers, just in case you do bruise or get some swelling.
-
If you do bruise easily avoid any exercise just before your appointment and arnica tablets taken a few days before your treatment can help with some patients.
-
No alcohol and minimising caffeine the evening and day of your treatment also helps reduce the risk of a bruise.
-
Please do not fast and have eaten something before your appointment.
-
No Covid or Flu vaccinations 2 weeks before your treatment.
