WHAT ARE THE CROW'S FEET?
Crow’s feet are fine lines and wrinkles that appear around and at the sides of the eyes.
These fine lines get deeper and more prominent with age, genetics, lifestyle, sun exposure and repetitive muscle movements of squinting, smiling and laughing.
These stubborn creases become more permanent making you look older and more aged than you are. The eyes are one of the first areas that can start to show our age as the skin gets finer and the lines become deeper.
Most patients are in their late 20’s to early 30’s when they are seeing changes in the lines around the eyes, but there are many treatments to slow down these signs.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This treatment works by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. They can be tailored according to the patients preferred aesthetic look and goals.
This treatment is very effective at reducing the formation of new lines and wrinkles, while softening the wrinkles that are already present. With regular treatments the visible signs of ageing are dramatically reduced.
WHAT ARE THE TREATMENT OPTIONS?
It is one of our most sought-after treatments in reducing the appearance of the lines around the eyes.
Treatment options are available whether they are deep or superficial crows’ feet, but they are always easier to soften when they haven’t become too deep.
Some crow’s feet will completely disappear and some that are deeper may need a few treatments to soften them or a combination treatment to lift the wrinkles, as well as softening the movement lines, and skin treatments. With regular maintenance treatments the lines will soften, making the eyes look more rejuvenated.
Another benefit of this treatment is it can lift and open out the eyes, which can especially be advantageous if the eyelids are a little heavy or hooded.
What post care instructions do I follow?
To get the best aesthetic result you do need to adhere to our post treatment recommendations. These are provided to you during the consultation and also at the time of your treatment. CAN I GET RID OF MY CROW'S FEET?
Not permanently but they can be softened. This treatment prevents new wrinkles from developing by limiting the movement that caused the crows feet initially.
It will wear off naturally over the next approx. 3 months (depending on your strength of the muscle, wrinkle severity, dose, and individual metabolism and medical conditions) and your wrinkles will gradually reappear.
It is at the time when movement is returning that we suggest a maintenance treatment to keep the crows feet softened.
CAN OTHER AREAS BE TREATED AT THE SAME TIME?
Yes, this treatment is regularly performed at the same time as the frown and forehead but many other areas can be treated to smooth wrinkles e.g.:

The skin is very delicate under the eye so in addition to softening the crows’ feet some patients will require skin treatments to improve the quality of the skin too.
There are many different treatments so having a thorough consultation is so important so a treatment plan can be prepared that is specific to your own crow's feet.
